The Symposium Organizers offer this transportation service free of charge to all participants and accompanying persons. Shuttle buses will depart from Porto Carras Grand Resort to Makedonia Airport, Thessaloniki. The trip takes approximately 90 min.

Last Reminder for Transportation of ESCAPE-21 Participants

Dear ESCAPE-21 Participant,

For those of you who have not booked yet your bus transportation form the Airport to Porto Carras, you can get into any of the available buses (on Saturday or Sunday) by looking at the Bus-Departure Programme (see ESCAPE-21 Website) and selecting the appropriate bus departure time in relation to your flight arrival time.
Participants who have not reserved a bus seat will be accommodated based on bus availability and capacity.
We would like to let you know that the organizers will first accommodate the participants who have already reserved (till today) a bus seat (see passengers lists available at your website).
No notification for bus transportation will be sent to late participants

Taxi Transportation

If your travelling plans (e.g., due to early or late arrival, etc.) do not allow you to take any of the scheduled bus trips or do not like travelling by bus or/and waiting at the airport for the scheduled bus departures, you can always reach Porto Carras Grand Resort by either renting a car or hiring a taxi.

In the latter case, the Local Organizers can make the necessary arrangements (if you wish) with a taxi service company for the transportation of one or more ESCAPE-21 Participants to the Symposium venue. Please note that the cost for a taxi ranges from 140 € to 150 €, depending on the taxi’s waiting time at the airport. The approximate trip time is 1 hour and 30 minutes.

  • The transport cost is the same for any of the two directions (i.e., Airport-Porto Carras hotel/ Porto Carras hotel-Airport).
  • The taxi is paid by the passenger upon arrival at his/her final destination and the collection of a receipt given by the driver. The taxi driver will be waiting for his passengers in the arrival hall of the airport carrying a small board with the Symposium name (ESCAPE 21) and the name(s) of the passenger(s).

If you wish to share a taxi, as well as the total taxi cost with any other ESCAPE-21 Participant, please fill in and send to escape-21@escape-21.gr the Taxi Service Form so we arrange for your group transportation (if possible).
Note that if three passengers share the same taxi, the approximate cost per passenger per one way will be about 50€.
