Biographical Sketch
Professor Zheng Li
Tsinghua University, China
Zheng Li got his bachelor and
master degrees from Department of Thermal Engineering, Tsinghua University
in 1986 and 1988. He then worked for three years in the industry, before he
returned to Tsinghua
University and got his
PhD in 1994. He became a faculty member of Department of Thermal Engineering at
the end of 1994, a full professor in 2000, and Changjiang Scholar Professor in
2008. He is now the Dean of Department of Thermal Engineering. He founded
Tsinghua BP Clean Energy Research and Education Center
in 2003 and has been the director of the center ever since. Prof. Li was
awarded the National Award of Science and Technology of China in 2006 for his
contribution to the development of simulation technologies for circulating
fluidized bed power plants. Besides technical studies, Prof. Li also works on
energy strategy and policy study for China and leads several national
and international research projects.
